Almost half (47%) of Russians who were aware of the punk group Pussy Riot prayer service in the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour, according to an adequate punishment for such a speech to imprisonment for seven years. Such a survey conducted by “Levada Center” in April in 130 localities 45 regions of Russia.

Yet more than a quarter (32%) of respondents who are familiar with the situation say that, in their opinion, taking into custody – an excessive punishment for girls. One in ten (10%) respondent does not consider the act states Pussy Riot serious enough for criminal prosecution.
